What is IPA?

The Indianapolis Professional Association (IPA) is Indianapolis’ premier networking, educational, and youth-oriented organization for local African American professionals, businesspersons, and others.

Founded in October 1984 by six local attorneys and one judge, IPA was established to promote education, economic development, and professional networking within the African American community. Today, IPA operates as a charitable 501(c)(3) organization.

IPA remains proactive in addressing important community needs through initiatives focused on education, economic development, networking, youth achievement, community involvement, and youth empowerment. Through these efforts, IPA continues to direct its resources toward strengthening professionals, supporting youth, and creating opportunities within the community.
